Review: MOFO Chili “Final Destination”

I bought a jar of “Final Destination” from Mofo Chili’s stall at the Kranji Countryside Farmers’ Market yesterday. The brand has 2 flavors of chillis – the other being “Dodge The Bullet”.

The chillis are made using just chilli, onion, oil and salt, and are vegan and vegetarian-friendly. They also do not contain pork or lard.

I had the chilli with my Vegemite and Bacon Pie Rolls for breakfast this morning and I found it to be excellent! Although it’s spicy, it doesn’t turn your tongue into one numb, flaming mess. You can still taste the flavor your food! According to Mofo’s website, “Dodge The Bullet” is the one that should be used as a dipping sauce, while “Final Destination”, as a sauce to cook with. But I think the latter works great as a dipping sauce too if you have the tongue for it.

I find Mofo Chili cleaner tasting than your traditional sambal and it goes well with both international and local food. The uncomplicated flavor profile also makes it possible for you to mix the chili with other sauces and condiments to create your own dips.

You can find out more about Mofo Chili from here.
