Ingredients
  

Apple Filling
  • 6 cups apples peeled and sliced
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
Butterscotch Topping
  • 0.75 cup rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.5 cup butterscotch chips

Method
 

  1. Toss apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and lemon juice.
  2. Transfer apples to the slow cooker.
  3. Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, melted butter, and butterscotch chips until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.
  5. Cover and cook on low 3–4 hours until apples are tender and topping is golden.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Leftovers store up to 3 days. Reheat gently to preserve topping texture.
