Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk warm
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
Filling
  • 2 cups apples diced
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter softened
Glaze
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp milk

Method
 

  1. Prepare yeast mixture and dough, then let rise until doubled.
  2. Roll dough, add apple cinnamon filling, and shape rolls.
  3. Allow second rise, then bake until golden.
  4. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls before serving.

Best served warm for maximum softness and flavor.
