Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup milk warm
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs large
Filling
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup walnuts finely chopped
  • 1 cup pistachios finely chopped
Honey Syrup
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk.
  2. Mix dough ingredients and knead until smooth.
  3. Let dough rise until doubled.
  4. Roll dough, spread filling, and sprinkle nuts.
  5. Roll into log, slice, and let rise again.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 22-25 minutes.
  7. Simmer honey syrup and pour over warm rolls.

Notes

For extra aroma, add orange zest or a splash of rose water to the honey syrup.
