Ingredients
  

Cookie Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg optional
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 0.75 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla.
  4. Mix in mashed bananas.
  5. Combine dry ingredients with wet mixture.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop onto baking sheet and bake 12–15 minutes.
  8. Cool before serving.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for best flavor. Chill dough for thicker cookies.
