Pastry
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 0.5 cup goat cheese softened
  • 0.33 cup blackberry preserves
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread goat cheese and blackberry preserves over puff pastry.
  3. Fold pastry, cut into strips, and twist each strip.
  4. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sugar if desired.
  5. Bake 15-18 minutes until golden and puffed.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Add thyme for an herbal touch.
