Pasta Bake
  • 12 ounces pasta penne or macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and chopped
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese optional
  • parsley for garnish

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
  2. Cook bacon until crispy and chop.
  3. Brown ground beef in a skillet.
  4. Add onion and garlic and cook until soft.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, and spices.
  6. Add cream and mix until smooth.
  7. Combine pasta and sauce.
  8. Mix in cheese and half the bacon.
  9. Transfer to baking dish and top with remaining cheese and bacon.
  10. Bake until bubbly and golden, then serve.

Notes

Add pickles or jalapeƱos for a burger-style twist. Best served hot and cheesy.
