  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 8 oz pasta penne or rotini
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and brown ground beef.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in broth, Worcestershire sauce, and spices.
  4. Add pasta and simmer until tender.
  5. Lower heat and mix in cream, sour cream, and cream cheese.
  6. Stir in cheddar and parmesan until melted and creamy.
  7. Adjust seasoning and serve hot.

Notes

Best served fresh. Add extra cheese for richer flavor.
