Ingredients
  

Casserole Base
  • 12-16 cooked meatballs store-bought or homemade
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes optional
Bread Layer
  • 4-5 hoagie rolls sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped
Cheese Layer
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 6-8 slices provolone cheese
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease baking dish.
  2. Sauté garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
  3. Add marinara sauce and herbs, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in meatballs until fully coated in sauce.
  5. Layer hoagie rolls in baking dish.
  6. Add meatball mixture over bread.
  7. Top with mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Let casserole rest before serving so layers hold together properly.
