Ingredients
  

Cruffin Dough
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 0.33 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon optional
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting

  • Rolling Pin
  • Knife
  • Pastry brush

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Roll puff pastry slightly thinner on a floured surface.
  3. Brush pastry with melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle sugar and mini chocolate chips evenly.
  5. Roll pastry tightly into a log.
  6. Cut the log lengthwise to expose layers.
  7. Twist each strip and roll into spiral shapes.
  8. Place spirals into muffin tin cavities.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm for best flaky texture. You can also fill baked cruffins with Nutella or pastry cream.
