Method
- In a microwave-safe mug, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk, oil, and vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Mix peanut butter with powdered sugar until smooth.
- Add half the batter into the mug.
- Place peanut butter mixture in the center carefully.
- Cover with remaining batter.
- Microwave for 60–90 seconds until cake rises but stays soft in the center.
- Let rest for 1 minute before serving.
Notes
Do not overcook to maintain lava center.
