Ingredients
  

Macaron Shells
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1.75 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 egg whites room temperature
Filling
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter creamy
  • 0.25 cup butter softened
  • 0.75 cup powdered sugar

Equipment

  • Stand mixer or hand mixer
  • Mixing bowls
  • Piping bag
  • Baking sheets

Method
 

  1. Sift almond flour, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder.
  2. Whip egg whites with sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold dry ingredients into egg whites until lava-like.
  4. Pipe, rest, and bake macaron shells.
  5. Prepare peanut butter filling and assemble macarons.

Notes

Let macarons mature overnight for best texture.
