- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown sliced sausage on both sides.
- Add diced onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Mix in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Add tomato paste and stir well for one minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring until combined.
- Reduce heat and slowly stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add butter and return sausage to the skillet.
- Add cooked pasta and toss until fully coated in creamy sauce.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
For extra spice, add additional Cajun seasoning or hot sauce. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days and reheated with a splash of cream.
