Chicken
  • 4 chicken breasts boneless skinless
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
Wild Rice
  • 1 cup wild rice blend
  • 2.5 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Cream Sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Medium saucepan

Method
 

  1. Cook wild rice according to package directions using chicken broth.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Sear chicken in olive oil and butter until fully cooked.
  4. Remove chicken and sauté garlic in butter.
  5. Add flour and whisk in broth and cream.
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese and herbs until sauce thickens.
  7. Return chicken to skillet and simmer briefly.
  8. Serve chicken and sauce over warm wild rice.
