- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup until smooth and bubbly.
- Pour caramel mixture into prepared baking dish.
- Arrange sliced bread over caramel in an even layer.
- Whisk eggs, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until combined.
- Pour custard evenly over bread. Press gently to soak.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Bake 35-40 minutes until golden and set. Rest before serving.
Notes
For extra caramelization, broil 1-2 minutes before serving. Best served warm with fresh berries.
