Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup lump crab meat drained
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp soy sauce
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
Assembly
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Deep pot for frying
  • Wire rack
  • Slotted spoon

Method
 

  1. Mix cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, and seasonings until combined.
  2. Place filling in center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Brush edges with egg and seal tightly into ball shape.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F.
  5. Fry 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drain on wire rack and serve warm.

Notes

Can be baked or air fried for a lighter option.
