Ingredients
  

Chicken Marinade
  • 2 chicken breasts or thighs sliced
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Coating
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Hot Honey Sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tsp hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp butter
Assembly
  • 8 biscuits buttery
  • pickles optional

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk and spices for at least 1 hour.
  2. Mix flour with seasoning in a separate bowl.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Coat chicken in flour mixture and fry until golden and cooked through.
  5. Melt butter and combine with honey, hot sauce, and chili flakes.
  6. Toast biscuits lightly and split in half.
  7. Assemble sandwiches with chicken, hot honey, and pickles.
