Ingredients
  

Bites
  • 1 cup dill pickle slices drained
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs panko preferred
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • vegetable oil for frying

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Frying pan or deep fryer
  • Paper towels
  • Baking tray

Method
 

  1. Pat pickle slices dry to remove excess moisture.
  2. Wrap shredded cheese around pickle slices to form balls.
  3. Freeze balls for 20 minutes to firm them.
  4. Coat each ball in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry bites until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

Air fryer or oven methods can also be used.
