- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla and red food coloring.
- Alternately mix in flour mixture and buttermilk, ending with flour. Stir in vinegar.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth top. Bake 50–60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to wire rack.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add milk for desired consistency.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled loaf. Slice and serve.
