Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp espresso powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup dark chocolate chunks
  • 1 tsp flaky sea salt for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and espresso powder in a bowl.
  3. Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Mix in eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and dark chocolate chunks.
  7. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  8. Bake until edges are golden and centers remain soft.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For thicker bakery-style cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Serve warm for extra gooey chocolate texture.
