- Peel and cube potatoes, carrots, and apple.
- Place potatoes and carrots in a large pot with water and pinch of salt, simmer 15–20 minutes until tender.
- Drain vegetables, return to pot, add butter, apple, and a splash of apple cider, mash until smooth.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and cinnamon, stir well.
- Transfer to serving bowl, drizzle with remaining apple cider, garnish with parsley.

Add roasted garlic or sautéed onions for a deeper flavor profile.
