Brownie Waffle Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup dark chocolate chunks optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat waffle iron and lightly grease if needed.
  2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine melted butter and sugars until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  5. Stir in vanilla and milk.
  6. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips and chunks.
  8. Cook in waffle iron 3-5 minutes until crisp edges form.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra crisp waffles, cook slightly longer. For ultra-fudgy centers, reduce cooking time slightly.
