Ingredients
  

Donut Batter
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 cup apples diced
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat waffle iron and grease lightly.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients together.
  3. Mix egg, milk, and butter in another bowl.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in diced apples.
  6. Cook batter in waffle iron until golden.
  7. Mix glaze ingredients.
  8. Drizzle glaze over warm waffle donuts.

Best served warm with coffee or tea.
