Ingredients
  

Donut Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk warm
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 egg large
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Filling
  • 0.75 cup strawberry jam
Glaze
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk.
  2. Mix dough ingredients and knead until smooth.
  3. Let dough rise 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Roll dough and cut donut circles.
  5. Rest donuts 20 minutes.
  6. Fry donuts until golden brown.
  7. Fill donuts with strawberry jam.
  8. Dip donuts in glaze and let set.
