Method
- Score duck skin in crosshatch pattern. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat. Cook duck skin-side down 6–8 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Flip and cook 3–4 minutes on meat side until desired doneness. Rest 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine orange juice, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and orange zest. Simmer 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Slice duck, arrange on a plate, and spoon glaze over top.
- Garnish with thyme and orange slices. Serve immediately.
Notes
Add a splash of Grand Marnier for extra citrus depth or red pepper flakes for subtle heat.
