Ingredients
  

Duck
  • 2 duck breasts skin on, 6–8 oz each
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
Orange Glaze
  • 0.5 cup orange juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 orange zest from 1 orange
  • fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
  • orange slices for garnish

Method
 

  1. Score duck skin in crosshatch pattern. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat. Cook duck skin-side down 6–8 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. Flip and cook 3–4 minutes on meat side until desired doneness. Rest 5 minutes.
  4. In a saucepan, combine orange juice, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and orange zest. Simmer 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Slice duck, arrange on a plate, and spoon glaze over top.
  6. Garnish with thyme and orange slices. Serve immediately.

Notes

Add a splash of Grand Marnier for extra citrus depth or red pepper flakes for subtle heat.
