Jalapeno Fries
  • 4 russet potatoes cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 jalapeños sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tbsp green onions chopped
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp cilantro chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Soak potato fries in cold water for 30 minutes, then dry thoroughly.
  3. Toss potatoes with olive oil and seasonings until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange fries in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
  6. Top fries with jalapeños, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and bacon.
  7. Bake an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Garnish with green onions and cilantro.
  9. Serve immediately with sour cream for dipping.

Notes

For extra spice, leave jalapeño seeds intact or drizzle with hot sauce before serving.
