- Cook macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat and whisk in flour to form a roux.
- Gradually add milk while whisking until the sauce thickens.
- Add cream cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Mix in cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until fully melted.
- Add diced jalapeños, salt, and pepper to the sauce.
- Combine cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce.
- Transfer mixture to a baking dish and top with breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter and parmesan.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
Add crispy bacon or extra jalapeños for more flavor. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
