Sandwich Ingredients
  • 4 slices bread white, sourdough, or whole wheat
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 12–16 slices pepperoni
  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • marinara sauce optional

Equipment

  • Spatula
  • Knife

Method
 

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Layer mozzarella, provolone, and pepperoni on unbuttered side. Top with other slice, buttered side out.
  3. Heat skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwich 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cheese melts.
  4. Slice in half and serve with marinara sauce if desired.

Notes

Can add extras like tomato slices, basil, or oregano for flavor variation.
