Ingredients
  

Donut Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup pumpkin purée
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix pumpkin purée, sugars, eggs, milk, butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir just until combined.
  5. Pipe batter into donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 14–16 minutes until donuts spring back lightly.
  7. Cool slightly, then remove from pan and place on wire rack.

Notes

Donuts can be coated in cinnamon sugar or topped with glaze after cooling.
