Ingredients
  

Apple Base
  • 3 large apples sliced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice to prevent browning
Toppings
  • 1 cup soft caramel candies
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded coconut toasted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 pinch sea salt optional

Method
 

  1. Wash and slice apples into thick wedges or rounds.
  2. Brush apple slices lightly with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Toast shredded coconut in the oven until golden brown.
  4. Melt caramel candies with heavy cream until smooth.
  5. Drizzle caramel over apple slices.
  6. Sprinkle toasted coconut over the caramel layer.
  7. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil until smooth.
  8. Drizzle melted chocolate over apple slices.
  9. Add optional sea salt and serve immediately.

Notes

Best served fresh. Try using Granny Smith apples for tart contrast against the sweet toppings.
