Method
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear chicken until golden on both sides.
- Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Melt butter in the same skillet and sauté mushrooms until browned.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour in Marsala wine and scrape the bottom of the skillet.
- Add chicken broth and thyme and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and return chicken to the skillet.
- Add orzo pasta and simmer covered until pasta is tender.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, butter, and parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra richness add additional Parmesan cheese or finish with a splash of lemon juice for brightness.
