Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping (Optional)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting or glaze

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a maple glaze if desired before serving.

Notes

These bars stay soft for several days if stored in an airtight container. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack.
