Ingredients
  

Sweet Potato Base
  • 3 lbs sweet potatoes peeled
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup pure
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Pecan Topping
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.33 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.33 cup unsalted butter softened

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Boil sweet potatoes until tender, then mash until smooth.
  3. Mix butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, eggs, cream, vanilla, and cinnamon into potatoes.
  4. Spread mixture evenly into baking dish.
  5. Combine topping ingredients until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle topping over sweet potato layer.
  7. Bake 40 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Can be assembled ahead and baked before serving.
