Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 0.5 cup reserved pasta water
Cajun Shrimp
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
Alfredo Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped

  • Large pot
  • Large skillet
  • Tongs
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook fettuccine pasta in salted boiling water until al dente and reserve pasta water.
  2. Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Cook shrimp in olive oil over medium-high heat until pink and slightly charred.
  4. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  5. Melt butter in the same skillet and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently.
  7. Gradually stir in parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  8. Add red pepper flakes and adjust seasoning.
  9. Toss cooked pasta into the Alfredo sauce.
  10. Add shrimp back into the skillet and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor add lemon juice or additional Cajun seasoning before serving. Best enjoyed fresh and hot.
