Chicken
  • 1.5 lbs chicken thighs boneless
  • 0.5 cup cornstarch
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
Glaze
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated

Method
 

  1. Coat chicken in seasoned cornstarch.
  2. Fry until golden and crispy.
  3. Simmer glaze ingredients.
  4. Toss chicken in glaze.
  5. Steam bao buns and assemble.

Double fry chicken for extra crispiness if desired.
