Ingredients
  

Funnel Cake Fries
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1.5 cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying
Strawberry Sauce
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries chopped
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
Cheesecake Drizzle
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream
Toppings
  • 1 cup pretzels crushed
  • 0.25 cup powdered sugar for dusting
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced

Method
 

  1. Prepare the strawberry sauce by simmering strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice until softened.
  2. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce until thickened. Cool completely.
  3. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream until smooth for the cheesecake drizzle.
  4. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  5. In another bowl whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla, then combine with dry ingredients.
  6. Heat oil to 375°F in a deep skillet or fryer.
  7. Pipe strips of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Drain fries on paper towels.
  9. Arrange fries on serving plate and drizzle with cheesecake sauce and strawberry sauce.
  10. Top with crushed pretzels, powdered sugar, and fresh strawberries before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately for maximum crispiness. Add whipped cream or chocolate drizzle for extra indulgence.
