Waffle Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.75 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Custard Cream
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter
Strawberry Layer
  • 2 cups strawberries sliced
  • 3 tbsp sugar

Method
 

  1. Prepare strawberries with sugar and set aside.
  2. Make custard cream by heating milk and thickening with egg mixture.
  3. Prepare waffle batter and cook waffles until golden.
  4. Layer waffles with custard and strawberries.
  5. Repeat layers and finish with toppings.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

Cool custard fully before layering.
