Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 2 chicken breasts halved into cutlets
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
French Toast Bread
  • 8 slices brioche bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter
Assembly
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • maple syrup for drizzle
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

Method
 

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk and spices for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Coat chicken in flour and breadcrumbs mixture.
  3. Fry chicken until golden and fully cooked.
  4. Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla.
  5. Dip brioche slices into mixture and cook in butter until golden.
  6. Assemble sandwich with chicken, cheese, and syrup drizzle.
  7. Top with second slice and serve warm.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh and warm. Add hot honey for a spicy twist.
