Ingredients
  

Sandwich Base
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup gouda cheese shredded
  • 2 tbsp crushed pretzels
Garlic Butter Spread
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp parsley chopped
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Skillet or frying pan

Method
 

  1. Mix butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Layer cheeses and crushed pretzels on unbuttered side.
  4. Close sandwich with buttered sides facing out.
  5. Cook in skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side.
  6. Press lightly while cooking until golden and crispy.
  7. Slice and serve hot with melted cheese stretch.

Notes

Best served fresh. Add jalapeños or chicken for variations.
