Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable stock
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Whisk or spoon

Method
 

  1. Rinse rice under cold water until water runs clear. Drain.
  2. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add rice and stir 2–3 minutes until lightly toasted.
  4. Pour in stock, season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer 15–18 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, fluff rice with a fork, stir in parmesan and parsley. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

For extra creaminess, stir in heavy cream or mix in sautéed vegetables.
